Shannon and Adam at E2 Solutions have been a key partner in our journey to first get a good understanding of and secondly to gain more control of our energy use over several years now. They have guided us every step of the way with skill and technical expertise to the point where we continue to achieve significant month on month savings in total energy use saving us real dollars. E2 Solutions are a fantastic company to deal with and genuinely care about their customers. From the first day we met, they were hands on and got straight into our business looking for solutions that are practical and didn’t require investment to achieve savings. We were able to make several changes in our business with no impact on the staff or customers, no capital costs required & achieved a 7% reduction on our annual energy use. Despite my store and building being close to brand new, with sub-metering installed and the E2 team completing site audits and running detailed analytics, they were able to quickly identify areas of opportunity. The remediation was driven by the E2 team, with little input or assistance required at my end. E2 Solutions were able to commission equipment that had not been commissioned upon completion of the store being built, as well as recommissioning equipment that was not commissioned as per design. The result was lower energy use with no negative impact on the store, sales, staff, and customers.

We have worked with E2 Solutions here at Pak'nSave Lower Hutt and Pak'nSave Kapiti. Through their reporting and consult meetings we have managed to reduce or power consumption and make changes to be more sustainable. They are pragmatic and work to create real solutions that can be used in our busy supermarket environment.

I have used E2 solutions for nearly 3 years now at Newlands New World and they have been amazing to work with. I have found them to be leaders in energy efficiency and have the capability in technical knowledge, service, monitoring, and reporting that can drive results. They have commissioned equipment correctly, monitored, Identified, and help reduce power consumption in departments as well as sourcing tailored solutions to allow for more efficient heating and lighting control and providing me with access to control and schedule my own equipment.

We have been working with Shannon and Adam since 2021. As a new store we found that almost all our systems were optimised for maximum performance rather than efficiency. E2 helped us to identify and remedy these issues without negatively impacting the staff or customers in any way. Between April 2022 and December 2023 we have seen savings of approximately $34k in energy. While we have made significant capital investments into a new rack and refrigeration, skylights and new LED lighting for the trading floor, in order to maximise these investments E2 Solutions has been crucial in establishing the monitoring of all these systems - even going as far as commissioning them properly so we can maximise the potential energy savings. We have been able to reduce our lighting levels in store while still maintaining a very good lux level for our customers. I have found Shannon and E2 Solutions a great company to work with. They are honest and deliver on the savings we set out to achieve together. I am happy to recommend them to any other store.

E2 Solutions were engaged to commission power monitoring at the Waikato DHB Renal Centre, integrating new Siemens power meters with the existing Honeywell BMS. The scope of work included configuring the meters within the Babel Buster gateway for load shedding and BMS integration, utilizing Modbus RTU, Modbus TCP, and BACnet protocols. To ensure accurate data availability across the air-gapped Siemens load shedding network and Honeywell BMS, simultaneous power registers were provided. Additionally, new registers were mapped to allow the BMS to monitor total kWh from each distribution board, and BACnet Object IDs were supplied for seamless integration.

We found the preplanning and preparation undertaken unparalleled. The foresight to bring new items (Babel Buster gateway) just in case proved invaluable, as during the set up it was found the existing unit needed replacement. This saved time and ensured your works were complete without any delay. In addition to this Adams assistance and patience while undertaking the works was greatly appreciated.

Shannon has been helping us manage our electricity consumption at Brookfield New World for the past 12 months. Shannon has treated the challenge of reducing our power bill every month very personally and has been incredibly active in driving change. We have achieved some good savings through simple changes and better accountability along with huge reductions through new LED lighting which Shannon project managed.

We achieved more than $4,000 of energy savings in just four months of working with Shannon, which equated to a 4% reduction in our stores annual energy use. Her programme quickly identifies savings opportunities and she also plays a key role in ensuring those savings are materialised and maintained.
